Prologue

In a mythical era, the fusion of great magic and ancient science bestowed extraordinary powers upon a select few. Be it living matter, dead substance, down to the smallest atoms, they all became vessels carrying the potential to become manipulated. The gifted individuals were burdened with the responsibility to control this unique power. While every gem has a trace of magic within them, offering different abilities, the most potent source lay in the celestial realm above us. Our magnificent world was adorned with a solid, unique material known as the infinite sky sphere. Occasionally, fragments would descend as vibrant shooting stars, carrying unimaginable power. Some have been discovered, but only the smallest ones, as the largest pieces remain elusive. The ultimate gem resides at the core of our world, referred to as the prime source stone. Its vast, hollow cavity rests high above, disguised as the radiant, glowing Sun. Enveloped in tremendous heat, this gem sphere serves as our protector. Countless minuscule apertures and larger fractures adorn the sky, creating a breathtaking sight during twilight and nighttime. Beneath this awe-inspiring phenomenon, capitals have risen, and nations have been born, all eager to observe and collect these unique, alien, color-shifting gemstones.

Once upon a frosty morning, a remarkable piece fell from the sky, forever marking human history. Its conspicuous slot has remained visible ever since. An ordinary man stumbled upon it, unleashing chaos upon the world. The ensuing conflict was a deadly war, with marching armies, mutant beasts, war machines, gifted sorcerers, and artificial wielders, leading to brutal slaughter spanning multiple cycles of the sun. As abruptly as it began, the war reached its thunderous conclusion one fateful night. The supreme artificial being was defeated, his army stripped of their ability to wield magic, and the stone's location became unknown. Over time, the scars of war gradually faded, but the survivors continue to bear the burden of their memories, yearning to forget. However, the memory of that dark period persists, and the shadow it cast has never truly dissipated as time marches on.
