"Over there are the buildings where I reside with the other housekeepers. This path leads to the back gardens, and this one leads to the old sanctuary. However, I advise you to avoid visiting the older part of the castle through the overgrown path. It is swampy and treacherous, and one can easily get stuck there," Elena cautions, observing the Son closely to ensure he understands the warning about the backyard gardens. She emphasizes the potential danger, knowing that venturing into that area could result in a slow and agonizing demise, trapped in the unforgiving mud.
Pointing to her left, Elena gestures towards the stables situated atop the peak of the hill. "That way, up the slope, you'll find the stables. It's a bit steep, but we designed it that way to provide the utmost protection for the royal horses. Besides, the view from up there is truly breathtaking. We spend a lot of time tending to the horses and enjoying the scenery," she explains, a smile gracing her cheeks. Elena's excitement grows as she exclaims, "Oh, look over there!" Her gaze lands on a magnificent creature. "There he is, our most prized horse, Norian. He serves as the Commander's trusted steed. You've had the pleasure of meeting him before your journey, I believe. Norian is a special being, one of the sheltered test subjects who did not turn against us. He was discovered as a foal during the final days of the war, in the last remaining stronghold of the artificial beings. His skin, as you can see, is extraordinary—impenetrable and as hard as diamond. It even sparkles when struck by sunlight at a particular angle. That prominent scar on his side has grown with him over time. We don't know how he acquired it, but it has never fully healed." Elena pauses, observing the Son's awe-filled expression, pleased with his captivation by the majestic stallion Continuing, she adds, "Since he was found and rescued, Norian does not bear a number. This grants him protection from the purge. However, there are still those who believe that all mutants should be eradicated." The Son pays little attention to Elena's remarks about the horse's history, his focus solely fixated on the stallion's captivating beauty. He cannot resist the temptation and instinctively reaches out to touch Norian, but Elena swiftly restrains him, holding the boy back with a firm grip to prevent him from getting any closer.
