Once More

Morning arrives, and the people begin to wake up, their arch-nemesis on a tight deadline, sunlight, piercing through the darkness. The Father, filled with concern, searches for his son. No one nearby has seen him, leading to speculation that he may have gone ahead or found amusement in someone else's dwelling. There is no time to investigate further. It's peculiar because the Son is typically the last to arrive but has never gone astray or run off before. Worried, the Father's thoughts are consumed by his missing child. However, time slips away rapidly, and they must proceed to the next location promptly, for the taskmaster will surely be waiting. The group sets off, heading east toward the base of the final bastion. Today holds great significance as the scaffolding must be dismantled, and the ditch diggers are growing restless. The father hopes that his son has found the motivation to engage in labor and understands the importance of the day's tasks.
Regrettably, the Son has different plans in mind. Disregarding his father's warnings about their discovery, he finds himself unable to sleep, haunted by visions of the enigmatic cocoon. His mind fixates on unraveling its mysteries, unable to conjure a clear image of it. The insatiable desire for knowledge denies him any respite. Before anyone else stirs, he surrenders to the allure of the rising sun, returning to the barred place his Father had forbidden him to revisit or discuss with anyone before showing it to Ben first.
